    Construction Management Salary

Construction Management pays best than most professions all over United States, constituting roughly 5% of the United States economy.

Perhaps the greatest pride of Construction Management is seeing project completed. Suddenly witnessing the colossal structure you have planned, designed, and painstakingly built is nothing short of rewarding. That feeling of success may be enduring but project completion is more rewarded in substance by money, yes by money.

Construction Management always pays well. It pays best in fact, than most of the professions all over United States, constituting roughly 5% of the United States economy. Construction management salary in New York for instance has the highest average rate of $81,810 and construction management salary in California is $71,830, according to PayScale.com. Meanwhile, the expected median construction management salary for a typical Construction Management Director in the United States is $110,328, according to the basic market pricing report prepared by the Certified Compensation Professionals over at Salary.com.

Here are the other construction management salary stats prepared by PayScale.com: Texas offers $54,720, Florida is $53,500, North Carolina offers the lowest of $48,300, Illinois is $62,780, Georgia is at $52,960 and Ohio offers $54,540.

While construction management salary normally hovers around $50,000 up to $80,000, it could just as easily reach six figures in a space of only 5 years especially if the construction manager has education, experience, and proven successes under his belt.

Maybe the median construction management salary is deeply attributed to the contrasting presence of below par construction professionals in the field. As a result, it gave a voracious vacuum for more competent construction management professionals whose services rose up considerably higher than even those of I.T. and Accounting Profession. In fact, the median starting construction management salary is already $46,000.

A surge of schools and university programs that teaches construction management skills and giving out certificates is the recent answer for the construction management job market demand. Even more students are now seeking a degree in engineering and accounting, overtaking those that took I.T. which is also a recent surge. And moreover, to further the enticement, engineering degrees are ranked at the top of the Highest Starting Salary Survey made recently by CNNMoney for the Class 2006 with an average of $50,000. Close behind is Accountancy.

Pessimists even played a downside to the construction management salary phenomena that constructions could die out just as easily. However, noted one Researcher Michael Holland of the American Council for Construction Education that the American Society of Civil Engineers forecasted and even bigger growth to the construction industry with $1.5 trillion worth of infrastructure. Holland remarkably says it is job security.
