    Construction Management Engineering Technology

    The construction management engineering technology is a program that responds to the need for skilled workers that posses the level of sophistication required to accommodate advanced and high technology that has inflicted to construction industry. This program includes the extensive use of the computer in the technical specialty together with higher level mathematics, finance, and communications offerings.

    The construction management engineering technology program includes advanced study in traditional engineering technology offerings such as statistics, strength of materials, structural design, materials testing, and many more; while completing the program with offerings in project control, scheduling, cost control, quality control, construction productivity, and accounting.     § Graphics II - it is an introduction to computer aided drafting or CAD for architectural and construction drawing. Topics include commands and drawing strategies for 2-D and 3-D works, architectural plans, sections, elevations, and details.

    § Construction Project Management and Scheduling - this gives an in-depth introduction and orientation to construction project management. This includes professional construction management in practice and methods. Covered are bidding and award, application of controls, scheduling, planning and control of operations and resources, procurement quality assurance and safety, and health in construction.

    Now that you have an overview of what Construction Management Engineering Technology is about, the next thing you should do is find for the school that offer this program. It helps if you choose the one that's within your area as it is expected universities in your area offer this program.
